Iron Roots Family Farm

At Iron Roots Family Farm, we are passionate about providing quality medicinal herbs, small batch herbal products, and traditional handcrafted goods to our community. After years of struggling to find quality ingredients for our own family, we set out on a mission to grow our own.

 

In 2019 we decided to expand our garden to be able to provide the same for our community. Today, we tend to many gardens as well as chickens, ducks, geese, quail and rabbit. All working within a regenerative closed loop system that we plant intensively. This means that everything plays a part in feeding not only us, but the soil as well and we always have plants waiting to fill a space.

 

With the exception of some of the seeds we plant and the straw we use for animal bedding, everything in our garden is from the land and animals of the immediate area. From compost and fertilizer, to sourcing local chemical free wood chips, we take great pride in sourcing as much as possible from local sources and generating as little waste as possible. We make sure to put more into the soil than what we take out.

 

Our store is filled with a variety of seasonal  herbs, handcrafted remedies and  handmade traditional crafts that we work on when we don't have our hands in the soil. When you purchase from our small farm your supporting the change you want to see in the world! Human hands tending soil and community in a way that supports us all.
